Working since Friday with a group of American universities in order to show some study possibilities for Brazilians in the US. #kicunivassist @checklist.trips
Universities were talking to students, their parents and college counselors and below you can read what I've learned about each university.
UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA: is a traditional university founded in 1890, and now a doctoral degree-granting research university known for its academic excellence and sense of community, providing a major university experience in a private college atmosphere. With over 2.000 international students from 125 countries, they have in total 30.000 students. They offer 171 majors in 21 colleges. IMPORTANT: the OU is pleased to announce a scholarship (55%) for Brazilian students admitted as first-year student for fall 2020. #2happiest students in America.
COLUMBIA COLLEGE CHICAGO: where innovation and artistic practice meet business expertise. This university gives you the opportunity to jump into hands-on projects from your first day of class, delivering a comprehensive liberal arts education designed for creative, entrepreneurial people. In fact, students from more than 60 countries call Columbia College Chicago home. They consider each applicant as an individual, so they don't look at who you are now, but at who you will become. FULL SAIL UNIVERSITY: is a creative campus near Orlando, Florida: whether you're passionate about art & design, animation, filmmaking, games, media & communications, business, music & recording, technology or sports, an education at Full Sail University can help you begin your journey. They have a different approach to education, from accelerated programs to tuition that includes all book and lab fees. IMPORTANT: classes are offered monthly, so a degree that would normally take four years, takes only 24 months on average. Unlike most U.S. universities, tuition is set for the duration of your program and doesn't rise from semester to semester. Download the scholarship guide at fullsail.edu/admissions/scholarships
FIU - FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY: an urban, multi-campus, public research university focused on student learning, innovation and collaboration. With top-ranked academic programs to top-tier research designation, FIU is a South Florida anchor institution and a solutions center. From the top of the globe to the ocean's floor FIU researchers are exploring the toughest challenges of our time: sea level rise, childhood mental health disorders and more. This university has an underwater laboratory for Biology and it is very interesting. They have two campuses and multiple centers including sites in Qingdao and Tianjin, China and supports artistic and cultural engagement through its three museums and offers more than 190 degree programs, many available online. DE PAUL UNIVERSITY: founded 1898 in Chicago offering an academic environment, where learning extends beyond the classroom and campus. With a range of academic programs and usually 20 students on average per class, you will be challenged to apply what you learn to real world scenarios and incorporate local organizations into the lessons. They offer more than 150 undergraduate programs of study and more than 175 graduate programs and have two campus: one in downtown (Loop Campus) and another in a beautiful residential area (Lincoln Park Campus).
